Sanjay Chandra

Sanjay Chandra is a former Indian Railway Services officer who has transitioned to the creative world. He is also an author, speaker, coach, arbitrator, and strategy consultant. Sanjay conducts workshops and talks on creative writing for young adults and corporate executives. He writes regularly for The Pioneer and occasionally for The Hindu. He is also the founder of Kala, a platform to promote literature and arts.

Sanjay has published three full-length books/novels – ‘Behind Closed Doors’, murder mystery (2023), ‘The Gymnast’, contemporary fiction (2022), and ‘The Life and Times of a Common Man’, memoirs (2019). His short stories, ‘The Surgeon’ and ‘A Level Playing Field’ have been published in the anthologies ‘The Little White Book of Stories Vol 1’ and ‘Playground Stories’ respectively. He does not consider poetry his forte, though he has written a few poems. Sanjay started his writing journey through articles/blogs that he shared on the social media in the initial years. He has also motivated his friends to write whose blogs he shared on this website.

Sanjay Chandra also takes up assignments as an Arbitrator and a member of Dispute Resolution Boards for infrastructure projects. He is a Fellow of the Indian Council of Arbitration (FICA).
