Communication skills – both written and verbal, empathy for others, and a healthy regard for peer criticism are important to attain true potential in personal and professional life.

Many of us have often felt the need to equip ourselves with such skills to help us overcome our fears of communication. Creative Writing is one such skill.

Sanjay Chandra has designed a day long workshop on creative writing for small batches giving each participant enough time to express and develop the required skills.

He has also designed a 32-hour credit course to be introduced in the syllabus irrespective of the stream that the students are pursuing.

The credit course and the workshop will help young adults to embark on their professional journey.

The workshop will also help professionals across all management levels to enhance their communication skills.

Both the workshop and the credit course are a mix of home assignments and classroom sessions. Salient features are:

  • Home Assignment: Read and write review of a pre-decided book. Write a short story/passage.
  • Classroom Session: Speaker will present elements of creative writing. Each participant will present his/her review of the book. Each participant will also present review of the short story/passage of other participants. Participants will re-write the short story/passage based on the inputs

Deliverables: 1. Certificate of participation/successful completion. 2. Selected short stories/passages have the opportunity to be published in anthology.
